Arts Award is a nationally recognised qualification providing a great way for young people to explore creative skills. The Award, rapidly growing throughout England, forges a link between young people and creative professionals in arts and media and provides a framework for learning and sharing new skills.
Explore the arts as an audience member with mima education. Book a two-hour interactive group session to explore the artwork on show through discussion, sharing opinions, activities and hands on tasks. Group bookings, £45 (includes all materials and use of the Education Space)
Meet the professionals at mima! Find out about the jobs and career pathways in a gallery. During a two-hour workshop, meet and interview lots of different mima staff from Gallery Assistants, through to Curators and Café owners; explore the career ladders they’ve climbed and the highlights of their gallery jobs so far. Group bookings, £45 (includes all materials and use of the Education Space) Max group size 15.
Kick off your arts challenge with priority places or Arts Award discounts at mima. Young people aged 16+ and taking part in the Arts Award can claim a guaranteed place and money off the cost of mima’s adult workshops eg Thursday night life drawing and mima’s one day “A Closer Look at…” courses.
